Stegelytra

All species in the genus are living on Quercus, with most species recorded from Quercus ilex.
Distribution
The genus Stegelytra Mulsant & Rey, 1855 is restricted to southern Europe and the Middle East. Recently, one or two members of the genus appear to be spreading northward in Europe, likely following the spread of their host plants (see iNaturalist).
Notes
Stegelytra gavoyi Ribaut, 1952 should be considered a synonym of Stegelytra alticeps Mulsant & Rey, 1855 although this is not yet published and thus Stegelytra gavoyi Ribaut, 1952 is still treated as a species here.
